I always love attending press days, having the opportunity to view
the collection in live after seeing it on the catwalk! And of course before it
hit the stores.
Salvatore Ferragamo is one of those
classic and elegant Italian brands that I love, the name always been in my mind
since I was a kid as my dad is a fan of the brand & he got few sharp tailored suits, and
shoes from!
But let me say that this Spring/Summer’13 collection it’s
not just exclusive for the business men! It’s actually for the adventure and
fashion forward people. As we saw on the catwalk for the collection is less
classic and more modern and sporty keeping the signature tailoring and quality while
adding strokes and splashes of colours. Rising from pure and clean white to pop
of blue, orange, red and yellow.
Light jumpers, printed shirts and outstanding coats. In addition
to those edgy
sneakers, who said you can’t wear your sneakers with suits.
I personally can see myself rocking loads of pieces from the
collection, starting with the sneakers to the mint trench coat and few of the vibrant
suits!
Another thing that they highlighted is Men bags and luggage. You will
find the classic once made from straw in brown and black as well as the edgy
once in bright colours covering traveling, gym, laptop bags and ipad cases as well!
For the ladies the collection is nothing like the gents, it’s more
chic and gothic with its classic dark palate of black and shades of kaki and cream.
The fabric included leather and more leather with remarkable detailing
of lacing and piping. In addition to the exotic skins for the shoes, bags and boots;
the collection is the reflection of luxe and chicness.
